Change Challenge Response Status

Challenge Responses can optionally move through a review process, where the Member's Response is manually approved or rejected.

A Challenge Responses can have one of the following statuses:

  • Submitted: The Member has completed the Challenge and the platform has created the Challenge Response, but the Response has not yet been reviewed, and the Member has not yet received the prize associated with this Challenge.

  • Approved: The Challenge Response has been approved. The Member will receive the prize associated with this Challenge.

  • Rejected: The Challenge Response has been rejected and is ineligible to receive the prize associated with this Challenge. Optionally, you can ask the Member to re-submit the Challenge Response.

  • Returned: After having been initially approved, the Challenge Response has been rejected.

Note: You can’t set a Challenge Response status back to an “earlier” status in the life cycle. For example, once a Challenge Response has moved to Approved, you can’t set its status back to Submitted.

You can change the status of a Challenge Response from either the Challenge Responses screen, or from the Challenge Response Details screen.

Change Response Status from the Challenge Responses Screen

To set the status of a Challenge Response from the Challenge Responses screen:

  1. Select Challenges from the top navigation bar, then select Challenges > Challenge Responses from the side navigation menu. The Challenge Responses screen is displayed.

  2. Optionally, search for the desired Challenge Response (see Search for a Challenge Response for more information on the available search options).

  3. Next to the desired Challenge Response, from the Action drop-down menu, select the desired status value. If the Challenge Response currently has a status of Submitted, the available status options are: Approve or Reject. If the Challenge Response currently has a status of Approved, the available status option is: Return.

  1. If you selected Reject in the previous step, the Reason for Rejection pop-up window is displayed. Optionally, enter a comment to the Member in the Comment field. If you want the Member to be allowed to retry the Challenge, check Ask to Re-Enter. Click Save.

Change Response Status from the Challenge Response Details Screen

To set the status of a Challenge Response from the Challenge Response Details screen:

  1. Select Challenges from the top navigation bar, then select Challenges > Challenge Responses from the side navigation menu. The Challenge Responses screen is displayed.

  2. Optionally, search for the desired Challenge Response (see Search for a Challenge Response for more information on the available search options).

  3. Click the desired Challenge Response. The Challenge Response Details screen is displayed.

  4. From the Action drop-down menu, select the desired status value. If the Challenge Response currently has a status of Submitted, the available status options are: Approve or Reject. If the Challenge Response currently has a status of Approved, the available status option is: Return.

  1. If you selected Reject in the previous step, the Reason for Rejection pop-up window is displayed. Optionally, enter a comment to the Member in the Comment field. If you want the Member to be allowed to retry the Challenge, check Ask to Re-Enter. Click Save.
